The series explores the interplay of dark and light, i.e. the value of color and has been inspired by a foulard.
Steps
The series is aimed at recycling shirts by contrasting the typical subtle appearance of this kind of fabric with solids of varying hues and saturation.
Scraps
The quilts in this series were motivated by the wish to use up leftovers from other projects transforming them into something of their own relevance.

Squares
Using the english paper piecing method these quilts are all composed of small squares that have been hand sewn to each other.
No sewing machine was harmed in the making of the tops. A calm and meditative work.
