The series explores the interplay of dark and light, i.e. the value of color and has been inspired by a foulard.

Steps

The series is aimed at recycling shirts by contrasting the typical subtle appearance of these fabrics with solids of varying hues and saturation.

While most of my quilts are pieced by machine, some tops are pieced completely or mostly by hand.
A calm and meditative process away from the sewing machine.

Scraps

These quilts were motivated by the wish to use up leftovers from other projects transforming them into something of their own relevance.
